Braintain: Learn Vocabulary2.7.3 - App Store

Learn a word today. Still know it next year.

Braintain shows you each word at the exact moment you are about to forget it. That is spaced repetition, and it is the difference between vocabulary that sticks and vocabulary that slips away.

WHY IT WORKS
Cramming loads words into short-term memory, where they fade. Braintain schedules every card on a proven algorithm, stretching the gap a little further each time you get one right. Five minutes a day beats an hour of cramming, and the app tells you which day to come back.

WHAT YOU GET
- BrainPods: curated decks you can join in one tap, in English and beyond
- Your own words: add any card, in any language you are learning
- Hear every word: tap the speaker for real pronunciation, or switch on auto-speak and let the deck read itself to you. Free for everyone.
- Guess game: active recall instead of passive re-reading
- Streaks and reminders: a nudge on the day your cards are actually due
- Progress that means something: mastery derived from how you really perform, not a vanity counter

HOW IT WORKS
1. Join a BrainPod, or add the words you want to keep
2. Review what is due today. It usually takes under five minutes.
3. Come back when Braintain says so. That is the entire method.

AUDIO AND PRONUNCIATION
Tap the speaker next to any word to hear it spoken. Flip the card and the speaker reads the meaning. Curated BrainPods play studio recordings; cards you wrote yourself are read by your device, so every card speaks either way, on every plan, at no cost.

Prefer hands-free? Turn on "Speak the Word Automatically" in Settings and each card reads itself as it reaches the top of the deck.
